CIE 113 Class (B) Bo-Bo






113 Class (B) Bo-Bo
Built in 1950 at CIEs Inchicore Works with 915hp Sulzer 6LDA28 engines with Metropolitan Vickers traction equipment and originally numbered 1100 and 1101 later becoming B113 and B114.
In 1956 the engines were uprated to 960hp and were used in service on both freight and passenger trains up until 1971 for B114 and 1974 for B113.
Both locomotives could at one time be found on the 'sound barrier' siding opposite Inchicore traction depot B114 eventually being scrapped and B113 being held over for preservation.

Number B113 is preserved at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum.

The 113 class (B) sounds are generic as there are none in preservation in working order.
